Virginia Gets $19M to Fix Storm-damaged Roads, Bridges
RICHMOND, Va. (AP) Virginia is getting more than $19 million in federal funding to repair roads and bridges damaged by Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee.

Virginia is getting more than $19 million in federal funding to repair roads and bridges damaged by Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee.
U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood announced the funding from the Federal Highway Administration's Emergency Relief Program on Monday. A total $1.6 billion was awarded to states and U.S. territories to help pay for road and bridge repairs stemming from hurricanes, floods and other disasters.
Virginia's share includes nearly $12.6 million to repair damage caused by Irene and $6.5 million to repair Lee's damage.
