On February 5th, I went out to Baker-Butler Elementary School to speak with the entire 5th grade. We talked about many different weather instruments that meteorologists can use to study the weather. Then we talked about how this information can be analyzed to form a prediction about the weather for the next few days. Finally, we talked about how this prediction can be broadcast to thousands of people watching on their televisions and on their computers. Then we wrapped up with a great discussion about Tornado Alley and how these monstrous storms are formed. We all squeezed together to snap a BIG group picture at the end!
