On September 24, I packed up my weather maps and went to Central Elementary School in Fluvanna County. I spoke with some 4th graders about meteorology and why it's such an important thing for us to study. We talked about many different kinds of weather instruments, the importance of a weather forecast, high and low pressure, cold fronts, and even Tornado Alley!
I found out that not only are these students interested in weather, they are also some fast runners. Before I arrived, they had been doing their mile runs and some of them had mile times around 6 minutes!
We took a big group picture at the end, which aired on CBS19 News at 6!
